In recent times, migration into another country for work purposes is a fast rising trend. It is argued by some individuals that children of the families suffer from this change while others say it is beneficial. This essay will give insights on both views. Although, I believe these effects are quite detrimental on the young ones.
On the first hand, changing the environment causes severe imbalance and instability in a home. More so, it can be difficult for children to adapt into a new territory, in most cases, it is difficult for them to blend into the new society. In addition, this often affects their general welfare and education. For example, when my sister was transferred to Lagos State because of her job, my niece struggled with her school work for the first year hence she had to repeat a class. This came as a shock because she was a straight A student in her previous school.
On the other hand, better employment opportunities are explored in new cities. Moreover, promotion into higher positions is rapid and constant. Additionally, bigger doors are often opened when one leaves their comfort zone into challenging places. For instance, ever since my best friend moved to the city with her family, He has been getting huge contract deals from different companies. After having imposter syndrome for the longest time at his previous job.
To conclude, I think relocating to a different abode is very strenuous for children and would lead to serious instability on their formative development. Even though, this trend can be helpful in building careers and also sacrosanct in the long run.
