People are migrating to different regions from their home country around the world. It is considered by few people that young ones of such families have to pay for this movement, in contrast to other people’s vision, who believe that changing countries can be beneficial for children in different ways. In my opinion, moving into some completely strange country can certainly bring a number of challenges to children in terms of adjustment and coping.
Immigration to foreign countries is becoming a common trend particularly, to avail more attractive and well-paying job opportunities. Although, families enjoy financial benefits yet, children of such families can get impacted significantly. As children lack a high level of cognition to understand the purpose of such complex decisions, owing to having different priorities in life such as playing and performing fun activities with their school fellows, friends, and other social networking around. Young fellows have to compromise their comfort zone by leaving these perks of life behind. Children can face significant burnt out and this can put psychological stress on some children, while others might comfortably adopt the change.
It is also believed that children can benefit from a change of country, which can be due to exposure to various culturally diverse experiences and learning opportunities. Children can get holistic education experience at their new school which can, ultimately push them to learn new communication and social skills to develop new friendships. No doubt, every child is unique and different and requires support as changing home country is a challenging experience, especially for children.
In conclusion, it is unarguable that children can feel challenged to adopt into new culture and environment, as result of changing country however, it can expose children to new learning opportunities.
