Some groups of people are opt to the view that the overwhelming sensational news from the media have caused detrimental effect on the overall society and individuals. I believe there is little to agree with the mentioned perspective.
Granted, one might argue that such ethical- based stories on daily life help foster oneself’s humane virtues and attitudes; therefore,they enable them to form an optimistic lens towards their life. However, this line of reason is not sound due to the fact that the vast majority of the society have the tendency to be over attracted by such thrilling concerns, which trigger their attention better than such heartwarming news. For instance, a Vietnamese program call “Viec Tu Te” shares stories about people providing those, who is facing with life adversities, opportunities to enhance their living standards; however, had to stop their broadcast because of little viewership. Having mentioned that, releasing such shows would not only fail to catch the community’s attention but unfortunately turn out an impractical device for not bring in any actual values for their targeted audiences.
However, the stated drawback of such positive programme can be possibly addressed with more imperative and emergency reports being delivered to those people, thanks to its sense of practicality and its popularity among the available concerns. By timely inform individuals on current possible dangers such as thefting or upcoming natural disasters, people can raise their awareness of the surroundings and to be better prepared for such circumstances, which sound more practical than spending time on a picture of a rosy life from optimistic-based information. Considering the worthy-concern accidents of the conflagration in Hanoi several months recently, the media have spreaded hundreds of warnings to the residents, which bring about a significant number of citizens purchased emergency kit for conflagration, so as to enhance the general security at their accommodations.
On the whole, despite the ethical values from such positive social reports, it is more essential and helpful for people to receive ongoing problems and dangers in order to be better aware of their surrounded environment and to have timely precautions to such unwanted endeavors.
