At present, respect for elderly individuals is reducing due to the low moral of society members, particularly young people. To solve this problem, parents and educators could teach young generation to be more respectful to old people and raise awareness of youngers.
The main reason why old people are becoming less respected is the low moral of young people, nowadays. Majority of young individuals tend to be cold-hearted and uncaring because of the crucial and immoral content they regularly see on social media and other platforms which are widely show videos of this nature. Being familiar with certain content, society members start adopting same behaviour and show it in the relationships to others, relatively older people are not the exception. Consequently, they do not feel any sympathy or compassion for people the older generation; for their weaknesses, the way they had undergone, their mood and even for their age which is worth to respect. As a result, senior citizens are being upset by youngers’ behaviour and feel undervalued.
In order to mitigate this issue, parents and teachers at school could give a clear understanding the significance of respecting seniors. Well developed compassion and deep understanding the elderly’s life possibly lead to considerate actions and respectful behavior. For instance, teenager who knows that standing grandmother in the bus may have a weak legs, can give the place by showing kindness and respect. Moreover, parents could encourage their children to do respectful actions so that receive a blessing and positive wishes from seniors, by explaining that their wishes are the most effective and positive ones.
In conclusion, I consider that deep understanding and raising awareness about the value of old people to be the best way to respect them and show sympathy, despite the crusial content they see.
