Initially, children speand most of their time with family, but as they grow older they join schools, which leads to them interacting with their teachers more often. This had led some people to believe that their growth is impacted by teachers more than their mother and father, and I agree with this observation to an extent.
When it comes to relationships with others, kids acquire most of the skills from their parents. They experience social skills, like playing games and talking to people for the first time with their family members, and despite them doing the same at school, they create more bonds with other students then they do with educators. Therefore, I believe children’s social skills are influenced by their friends and parents more than thier teachers.
However, when it comes to intellectual growth, I think kids acquire most of their knowledge from School. So teachers will have more the chance to educate them on the various topics, compared to their parents who focus more on the building a relationship with them. Teachers are also more skilled to educate their students, which gives them the upper hand on having the biggest impact on childrens acadamic lives.
In conclusion, I agree with the statement that children gain more knowledge from teachers, because they have the ability to give kids acurate information. However, their social development is mostly impacted by their peers and family, since they speand most of their time with them, and the relationship is more personal as opposed to the one with teachers.
