n all major cities, one of the common problems is traffic jams. The main reason for this traffic is mostly people travelling in their vehicles instead of public transport. I strongly think most people need to go to work on time, leading them to use their private transport.
With the introduction of two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers, people who are using public transport reduced day by day. Despite using public transport, which requires waiting for a long time to reach the destination. People started to find alternatives by booking rides and using personal transport. Most citizens are buying personal vehicles with the introduction of motor vehicles. Each house has more than one vehicle. Even though this made them spend more time in traffic, causing a major problem like traffic blockages.
To overcome this problem, one thing the government can do is increase the frequency of public transport like buses and trains available according to the rush in the respective station and also increase traffic signals. Although the government introduced this measure, it is not only their responsibility but also the people who need to start sharing rides instead of travelling alone while going to and returning from work. This can reduce the number of vehicles on the road, which can ultimately reduce traffic congestion.
In conclusion, I strongly suggest that traffic jams can be controlled by using public transport along with sharing rides whenever possible. I would certainly use public transport whenever possible, along with ride-sharing. Thus one can strive to reduce traffic jams along with government plans.
