There is a view that parents are the best teachers. While it could be better when children get knowledge from real teachers, I strongly believe that parents are a better option for teaching their children, especially when it comes to life lessons; there is no one who could be a better teacher than parents.
When it comes to teaching children academic knowledge like science, math, and history, parents should put them in the hands of a real teacher. Teachers do not coddle students and strictly teach them the necessary knowledge. It is because they get paid for it, and if they feel a responsibility for what they do, they would teach better than those who do not feel it. If the child can get all the necessary knowledge from their teachers, then they could be a useful person in society and create the best future for themselves and for those who surround them.
In my opinion, however, parents are the best teachers in both life lessons and academic knowledge. When parents teach their children, the child feels a kind of responsibility and even more fear, and it can cause them to learn faster and better because they have fear of disappointing their parents. Moreover, when it comes to life lessons, there is no one who could be a better teacher than parents for their children. It is because parents definitely have more experience to compare with their children’s, and in many parents did not have a good childhood as their children, and especially in this situation, they definitely have something to teach. As it was mentioned, children feel responsibility and fear from their parents, and they are definitely afraid that they may disappoint their parents, and this gives very great motivation to become better.
In conclusion, teachers are likely to teach children just for academic knowledge, which is very good, but I believe that there is no one who is a better teacher than the parents, especially when the child needs advice about real life.
