It is common that children are sometimes being put pressure by their parents in order to become successful. Personally, I think this happens because of parental instinct to care for not only their kids but also their future, and I believe this is a positive development.
Regarding what prompts parents to do so, it is evident that they want to help children have a better preparation for the future. As adults have experienced multiple hurdles on their way to success, they would be able to guide and encourage their kids what they should do, and advise against what are forbidden. At some points, the act of educating youngsters would become harsher if children do not obey or follow such instructions, which leads to parents applying pressure as a tool to right the wrong. Therefore, adults would have less difficulty getting their children well-prepared.
Those well-educated kids would then show more qualities such as morale, competence, and adaptability in comparison with others. Moreover, the former are more independent when solving problems, and more resilient to challenges than the latter. Additionally, children who have been carefully educated by their parents before are less prone to mental problems. Facing the adulthood’s pressure for finding a job, making money, or growing a family, such qualities would help children overcome these hurdles, ultimately leading to success in the long run.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that parents should put pressure on their children to cultivate their kids’ good qualities, and to secure their future success.
