Nowadays, environmental pollution has become an increasingly serious issue across the world. People generally know that the environment plays an important role in our lives. However, most individuals still do not take responsibility for protecting the environment. This problem has arisen due to several causes and has led to a number of significant consequences for individuals and society. This essay will discuss the main causes of this issue and suggest some effective solutions.
One of the primary causes of this problem is money. People ignore the environmental consequences and health problems to earn more and more money for a better lifestyle and future. For example, business owners know that the environment is important, and their business causes environmental issues; still, for earning money, they avoid responsibility towards society and the world. As a result, they don’t have an idea that because of that they are indirectly affecting their own health and also affecting their future life. Moreover, another cause of this problem is a lack of education; therefore, it affects major health problems, mostly in low-class workers who work in such businesses or an industrial area.
One significant solution to this problem is that the government should introduce strict laws and fines to reduce pollution caused by businesses and also introduce programs for uneducated and low-class people to teach awareness and to explain the harmful effects of pollution. For instance, in recent research, industrial workers in an industrial area raised their voice towards awareness of the environment.
In conclusion, the environment and its protection are every person’s responsibility; unawareness of environmental problems is caused by several factors and has a range of negative impacts on individuals and society. Therefore, government and individuals have to address the root causes and try to reduce their impact, and also have to create long-term improvements for awareness.
