In recent years the issue of environmental changes has sparked significant debate. While the most proportion of society put effort on tackling this phenomenon, others neglect their role in preserving the natural habitat. It is widely acknowledged that both governments and pupils play a pivotal role in maintaining this urgent matter. I firmly contend that the main cause goes back to the lack of knowledge and attention to this matter and a collective action is required to overcome this pressing dilemma. This essay unequivocally examines the underlying reasons and proposes effective solutions on the matter.
There are several factors affecting the overall approach of people toward tackling climate change, the most prominent of which is an inadequate grassroots participation. This notion stems from the fact that geographical problems are overlooked at school and there is not related course in the school curriculum. Furthermore, combating detrimental effects of human manipulations including air pollution, ozone layer depletion, and carbon footprint needs systematic education from early childhood. According to a recent survey conducted in Iran, over 50% of people felt ashamed when they became aware of dire consequences of their actions. This research underscores that the root cause of this neglecting insight regarding environmental issues stems from the lack of information in the community.
To address this global concern, both governmental and societal planning is required. By enforcing strict regulations and awareness campaigns, the authorities can foster social cohesion and will make a significant difference in people’s insight regarding mitigating harmful human activities. For instance, tackling nature-related problems is considered a vital subject at Japanese schools and children are compelled to learn basics from early ages. This standard program has instilled the sense of responsibility among students. Subsequently, through these systematic schooling methods, adolescents feel obligated about cutting back on plastic, reducing car dependency, and upholding related laws.
Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that climate change contributes remarkable to human impacts and if the power that be and citizens collaborate together to offer an eco-friendly planning, the overall population would benefit. It is crucial to mention that a careful examination of all aspects is needed before making any definite decision.
