There is a common believe that it is a waste of time for high school students to learn literature such as novels and poems. From my perspective, I strongly disagree with this credit.
On the one hand, there are a range of benefit for high school students who study literature. Firstly, studying novel and poems can help students get a deep insight into history and culture of the world, as a result, they will have a chance to expand their employment opportunity in writing and adapting stories for entertainment industries. In addition, studying literature also help them learn more about language, which increases their communication skills and express their feeling.
On the other hand, can not deny that the world without this form of art is a colourless place. Literature help human become creative and have a deeper understanding when they solve a problem. Moreover, this subject requires student read a wide range of both traditional and modern works that famous writers created. Therefore, young people will pay more respect for other people with other culture value.
In conclusion, literature hold an important place not only for students but also for the society. Therefore, i think it should be held in high regard
