In a world where addiction to social media is increasing, a great number of individuals prefer to address online sources when they have health issues. This is mainly because it is affordable and comfortable, however, it has a lot of drawbacks which may lead to death.
On the one hand, using videos and taking online advice is free and convenient for busy workers. For example: instead of going to hospitals and paying a lot of money for only checkups, we had better to search for our symptoms and find medicine to buy and recover. So in many countries, even in Uzbekistan, more and more residents are using these methods to achieve both self-treatment and save money as well as time that they can spend on their family members.
On the other hand, even though, they are using several techniques to represent their health problems, it is so tough for doctors to give correct diagnostics for some patients, let alone unqualified ones. Additionally, they may give the wrong receipt which may make the patient’s condition worse or even lead to death. What is more, we do not have any information about doctors from which we are taking advice. For instance: in some countries, some people died because of one doctor’s video on YouTube {according to news in social media}. By relying on the internet people are risking their health.
In conclusion, In this modern world online treatment is becoming popular, despite it assists us when we do not have any time or have financial problems, videos on social media are not reliable. Face-to-face interaction with experts can be expensive but the importance of life passes it.
