Some people think that zoos are cruel and all the zoos should be closed. However, others think that zoos are useful to protect rare animal. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Today, many people assume that zoos are vicious so they need to be secured while others state that zoos are valuable to keep scarce animals safe. I think zoos are of paramount importance for protecting rare species. However, this essay will explain the reasons behind those two perspectives.
On the one hand, there are at least three reasons why zoos should be closed. The first compelling one is because animals tend to have limited space to meet other species since they are locked in enclosures. This is particularly occured in order to keep them away from visitors without thinking about the animals’ loneliness and feelings. Moreover, some weak animals are seen as ease prey by the strongest one due to lack of food stock. They are sometimes likely to attack one another if they are kept in one coop. Furthermore, in recent days, there is a scarcity of training for zoo keepers leading to limitation insight in taking care of some specific animals.
On the other hand, there will be some major factors why zoos should be remained. Firstly, zoos are believed as a good shelter to protect endangered species. This is because it is rare to see some animals directly nowadays due to some causes. Besides, since the existence of poachers, some threaten species are caught to be traded to fulfill black market demands. For instance, Orangutans, Javan Rhino, Sumatran Elephants and many more. These animals should be kept safely in a good place in order to protect them. In addition, by keeping them in zoos, students could visit this place sometime to learn and gain more useful knowledge related to animals in general.
In conclusion, in spite of being closed, it is better to look after zoos as they could protect rare animals which prevent them from poaching and also provide benefits for visitors.
