In recent decades, the issue of whether the private lives of politicians should be published in national media has become a subject of considerable debate. While some claim that this should not be a problem, others maintain that it is totally unacceptable to post a person’s personal life on magazines. While both perspectives have merit, I firmly agree that private life of any prominent leader should not be allowed because of several compelling reasons.
There are numerous reasons why authors should not post politicians’ personal life in articles. One of the primary factors is security purposes. When faces of the family members are revealed to the public, their lives are endangered. Therefore, the government should be mindful when making such decisions. For instance, their opponents might find this as an ideal opportunity to hurt their political enemies by assassinating one of the family.
Furthermore, another significant reason why politicians’ should not accept their lives to be published in magazines is to reduce too much information about them to be exposed. Media should respect such choices therefore to write only what the politician agrees to be noted. As a result, journalists and authors that break this law to be arrested and charged for infading privacy especially during political campaigns.
In conclusion, although some argue that recording lives of politicians in magazines is a perfect idea, some oppose this view. I strongly agree with this perspective because there are consequences of exposing private lives to the public such as insecurity of household.
