Firstly, sports promote sportsmanship which helps us to develop our minds. It is because playing sports are always about equality, this principle affects watchers. The movement which is inputting sportsmanship may convert international tensions into a healthy competition. For instance, some presidents are seen talking in the Olympic stadium on TV, this could effectively make people feel the global connection that international sports energy give to their leaders. People would also get a chance to understand each other countries’ citizens through mutual sports games.
Secondly, cheering athletes enrich people’s patriotism in a safe way, it is because cheering can resonate positive energy to the world. People have energies, but if they do not have an opportunity to emit them, they have a risk of developing enrage and dissatisfaction to the nation. Moreover, famous athletes have a force of growing patriotism, owing to the reason that the individuals may automatically have team awareness towards their co-athletes’ fighting spirit. For instance, World Cup has a power of making strong teamwork within people every year, the outcomes were mostly positive, take Japan for example, business owners carry out huge sales on their items whenever a Japanese sports team win a game and people usually use the topic of World Cup daily during the season. I think that these movements positively develop peoples’ awareness of love for their nation.
