Museums play an essential role in preserving history and cultural heritage, providing invaluable pieces that link the present with the past. Some people argue that foreign and natives should have access to nations’ folklore for free. However, I disagree with this perspective because museums require financial resources to maintain and preserve their collections, and admission fee is a practical solution to keep the sustainability.
One significant reason for keeping museum tickets is that maintaining a museum is expensive. Museums must invest in some areas such as conservation techniques, employ experts and professionals, and preserve the infrastructure in mint conditions. Without adequate budget, some items and parts of the infrastructure might deteriorate and the quality of the exhibitions could suffer. For instance, many museums depend on the admissions fees to keep their standards and optimum operation.
Additionally, Plenty of public institutions face budget restrictions, which often impact negatively on museums’ economies. To illustrate my point it is crucial to know that when museums depend only on governmental or public resources, they could achieve insufficient resources to maintain the optimum quality to be attractive and popular and it results in a huge loss; while, admission fees allow museums to operate independently and ensure that they are able to keep their exhibitions attractive and in a good conditions.
To sum up, while free access to museums could encourage a lot of adults and children from different places and from the same city, tickets are essential to maintain museums’ high quality and attractive exhibitions independent of ensuring that the experiences are memorable for locals and tourists who visit the installations. Also, ensuring that the folklore will be well preserved and admired for decades in perfect conditions in some attractive places like museums.
