There is a lot of research that has shown that the prime reason for worldwide pollution is the transportation of various products and people. While some individuals assume that it is the fault of the government, others believe that its citizens should be in charge of this. Personally, I think that the government should be in control of this issue, as they have the opportunity to introduce strict policies.
While each individual has the power to restrict only a small part of people from creating pollution, the government can do that with the whole country, as they have the access to control all of the transportations between countries – including international and private flights, and different ports – they have much more opportunities to contribute to the worldwide pollution problem compared to one individual.
On the other hand, each person should know figures for consequences. Extinction of aquatic animals, such as fishes, or even amphibians, air pollution, all of that could be prevented if each individual would be in charge of their actions. So, private companies could create separate paragraphs in daily magazines or specific tele-shows about the pollution to increase the awareness of citizens. As a result, it could prevent the number of accidents in future because children would bear in mind the consequences of different actions.
