Recently, it can be seen that increasing number of people who are now living in metropilises: cities cover more than 20 million inhabitants.
The increase in population has several positive sides. Firstly, The ways of civilization as unprecented changes can be carried out through the city. Such as constructing residential areas, recreational facilities, and so on. For emaple, if cities have some extensive touristic places, foreign visitors come to there and visit the city. If the majority people reside in urban areas, the demand for wide-range of facilities with soar, which can lead to medicine, restaurants, and childrens’ entertainment. Also, people demand for wide-range of life facilities like education, sports, and so on. Thus, growth in mega-city has several positive impact for environment
Although, the rise in population has several negative impacts. First of all, this can pose some tragic consequences of environmental troubles, like air pollution, water pollution and traffic jams. When the most number of people living metropolises, this can be lead to overcrowding, expensive, and inadequate housing. For example, overcrowding areas has environmental issues, like people continuously dump domestic waste into water. Also, companies or other unspecified fabircs emit harmful emissions, such as toxic gases and smoke, which can lead to detrimental people’s mental well-being. Secondly, the increase demand for people’s basic need rather than past decades. Most people prefer eat junk food due to it is convenient and cheaper rather than healthy food. Because healthy food expensive.
In conclusion, from my perspective, since the population increase nowadays in mega-cities, which can lead to extensive touristic places or increase demand for recreation areas, however, it can cause numerous negative impact for environment and people’ health.
