In recent years, technology has become a valuable education tool for students and has a tendency to replace teachers in class. However, some people argue that lessons from teachers are still better than from the internet and television. From my own perspective, I strongly agree with this idea.
On the one hand, technology such as television and internet is the perfect option to learn and search for information. it can provide a student range of resources, such as videos, articles, and interactive tools. However, there are many channels or programs that can expose children to inappropriate material or harmful ideas. While educational programs can provide value, there are numerous shows that do not contribute positively to a child’s development. Moreover, students can be easily distracted when they use technology without parents and teachers’ assistance.
On the other hand, the teacher’s primary roles could not be replaced in education. Firstly, in a classroom, teachers can identify students’ weaknesses and adjust their teaching to meet individual needs. For example, if a student finds a topic difficult, the teacher can explain it in a simpler way or use examples to help. Secondly, teachers create a structured and interactive learning environment. They not only explain concepts but also encourage students to ask questions, discuss ideas, and solve problems. These activities help students understand topics deeply and think critically.
In conclusion, while technology is a useful tool, teachers remain essential for effective learning. Their ability to provide tailored support and foster active engagement makes them irreplaceable in education.
