Recently, many education institutes tend to teach their students traditional courses more often which do not prepare students to be more professional in the workplace. I strongly agree that students have to focus on subjects which support them to advance in their speciality in the modern working world rather than traditional subjects..
It is well known that schools must provide their students in order to meet the demands of the professional world, but in reality schools focus too much on unnecessary courses like geography, mathematics, and many more. Those subjects do not allow students to practice social skills, such as public speaking because they just have to listen to their lecture at the class. As a result, students lack social skills and they will struggle in the workplace.
Moreover, many companies only select employees who have excellent critical thinking skills to cooperate with them. Unfortunately, subjects in the class do not align with this demand. If students are taught how to be a critical person, It will bring benefits for the student itself and also for the company in the future. Consequently, students are more ready to start their career as they wish to be an advanced person.
Many schools still believe their courses already provide students to be more professional at work. In fact, there are many essential abilities that have not been taught by teachers to allow students to be more ready in the workplace. Because of this lackness, education institutes should review again toward courses which fit in or not related to modern working demands ahead.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that schools nowadays focus too much on traditional courses which do not align with demands of professional modern work.
