Band 5: scientists and technology experts seem to be more valued by modern society than musicians and artists. to what extent do you agree (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

With the advent of artificial intelligence and augmented reality, scientists and technologists have gained more value among public than musical and other artists. I do agree with this statement and I will explain my reasoning in next few paragraphs.

Firstly, technological experts have made people lives easier by solving their everyday problems with advanced tools for example, Chat GPT has made everyone’s everyday task manageable by providing immediate solutions of how to cook, write, learn, etc. Other than that, advanced research to provide corona vaccine like Synopharm was one of the best discovery to fight Corona Virus and that’s why scientists are valued more among the people. Musicians and other artists don’t solve everyday problems like them but provide great leisure time relaxation.

Secondly, technologists have created various income sources like never before. For example, AI expert jobs are created in many big firms like Microsoft and Google which gave people new skills and income. It has also introduced new communication platforms and income sources like Tiktok, Instagram where influencers create unique content and get sponsors online which has helped them earn money ,as well as, to communicate better through video calls and online chat among which WhatsApp video call is the most famous one.

However, musicians and artists should also be valued like scientists because they have a great talent to bring smile on our faces and help us forget about our worries. Today, they have adopted online platforms like Tiktok and Youtube to showcase their talent which was different in the past when they did arrange live concerts.

Hence, it can be concluded that although musician bring great joy in our lives, they are not valued like technological experts and scientists who play great role in solving everyday problems and provide new income platforms for public.
