Band 5+: Shops should not be allowed to sell any food or drinks that has been scientifically to be prove detrimental people’s health. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The notion that shops should not be allowed to sell any food or drink scientifically proved to be bad for people health is a topic of considerable debate. Personally, I agree with this statement for some compelling reasons.

On the one hand, banning shops to sell products deemed bad for health causes some drawbacks for some people. In terms of some students, those study and investigate about products will have difficulty in buying food and drink, consuming more time to navigate locations where sell them. Furthermore, in the view of hunters, they can face some challenges such as baiting when it is more likely hard to purchase food laced with poisons. As a result, the security of hunter may be in of danger when they do not have some ways to protect themselves from attack of animals. For instance, in the northeast of Vietnam, where many poisonous flora and fauna grow with unexpectations, residents still may seem them as tools to bait animals such as snakes and foxes.

Conversely, there are many benefits when not allowing shops to sell products recorded as dangerous for humans. When food industry is ever-increasing with many options for products, consumers tend to buy some food which can be both convenient and flavor but leading to some health problems. Thus, with the limit of food affecting health, many people may have more consciousness about nutrient, quality and production location, helping consumers enhance their health. Additionally, there are many diseases appearing in recent decades with the reasons for food poisoning taking place especially in children. Therefore, the rate of this diseases may reduce when shops are not allowed to sell unhealthy food and drink. For example, in some European countries, citizens have a preference for choosing products which may affect their health. There are many programs to encourage people not to buy and consume these products, and limiting some options at shops is an ideal solution to alleviate this trend.

In conclusion, although shops which are banned to sell products may have some disadvantages for some groups such as scientists and hunters, this may have more benefits to protects our health in advance before suffering from serious diseases as diabetes and obesity. I believe that prohibiting shops to sell unhealthy products should go with exception for some special reasons such as hunting and investigating.

Opinions vary regarding the appropriateness of selling food products which have been officially proved to be unhealthy for consumers. While this phenomenon may be somehow common in social scenarios,I strongly believe that such action should be strictly prohibited otherwise there will be little shoppers who are still take customers’s health into consideration. Admittedly, implementing restrictions overwhelmingly to […]
