It is indeed true that the majority of data about cultural sites, items, culture and history has been put down to the internet. So many believe that this completly replaces the musuems and are not of significance importance. Well, I completely disagree with the idea.
Well, we can’t access every information regarding various places, items and ancient technologies are available on the net, which makes it a necessity to arrive at a specified distination for someone who wantsto examine these relics. Firstly, sensitive cultural sites like pyramids and anicent scrolls cannot be accessed online. Moreover, we can’t assume if data is authentic or not. One can only see, understand, and feel the importance of these relic of things in person. For instance, we can’t feel happy by only seeing pizza’s, the feel of eating it is everything. Similarly, some relics are bound to interact in person, then only we can connect our thoughts with it.
Secondly, musuems are a medium of showcasting an ancient artist’s hardwork, passion and a nation’s history. The arrival of individuals from far off places depicts the cultual popularity of a nation and direclty benefits the economy by tourism. But, if everyone will connect through the social media, then no lively exposure will occur. This can negative impact the economy of that nation and false information are bound to spread in the absense of a proper guidance.
In conclusion, the detailed information and authenticity of cultural sites, monuments, scrpits, relics and and antiquity can only be verified in person. So, I strongly supports the idea of using and preserving the museum, nevertheless, information is available on internet.
