Some people argue that smoking should be forbidden in public areas while others believe that it should not be. This essay will show the positive and negative benefits of smoking in public zones.
Generally speaking, there are two main reasons why people believe that smoking should be banned in public areas such as hospitals, restaurants and train stations. Perhaps the main reason why people are in favour of this idea is because smoking is carcinogenic. For example, the people who smoke and the secondary smoker may be affected by lung cancer. Another reason is that the people who smoke smell terrible. As a result, if anyone sits next to a smoker, their clothes might smell like tobacco the whole day.
Despite these arguments, there is also the idea that smoking cigarettes in public areas should not be banned. The main reason why people think that idea is not good is because there are a range of people who rely on cigarette consumer jobs. If cigarettes will be banned then the business will hamper, as a result people will get fired. Secondly, the Government earns a huge amount of tax from this tobacco industry and if they pose any rules against it then they will lose tax in vast quantities.
In conclusion, it must be said that smoking has become a complex issue with no easy solutions. Despite arguments to the contrary, I strongly feel that smoking should be banned in public surroundings. If government take strict action against it then the environment will be healthy and cleaner
