It is often pointed out that social media like Instagram and X enable us to communicate much more straightforwardly, but they also bring us some negative aspects. In my opinion, this system has both benefits and drawbacks in equal measure.
One of the positive aspects is that people can contact others more efficiently using this technology. Instagram, for example, makes it possible for us to communicate anywhere and anytime on the Internet. Additionally, given the work field, social media, which can involve many people involved, may help leaders share details of their work. At the international level, people can connect with people from other countries through the Internet. This creates opportunities to understand different cultures and value values because of the videos and photos that made various places.
On the other hand, this development can have negative consequences. It is abundantly clear that the chance of face-to-face communication can be blocked due to the development of social media. People using social media when they are children can be prevented from developing their social skills, such as communication skills. Another negative aspect is that we sometimes cannot understand the true meaning. Text messages are quite easy and helpful, but it is difficult for most people to make recipients know what they mean.
In conclusion, social media is an amazing tool for communicating with others because it is comfortable; however, this can lead to declining communication skills.
