In recent times, environmental problems have become more serious. This situation sparked a considerable debate about whether they should be dealt with at an international or national level. While numerous countries have opportunities: adequate funding and power, each nation has better understanding of how to solve these issues which occurred in their area by implementing laws.
On the one hand, the process of overcoming these difficulties can be much more straightforward with the intervention of international organizations as opposed to only one country because they have enough financial resources and strength. In the world, there are both affluent and deprived regions that contribute to environmental problems at the same level, and this is one reason why such an issue should be mitigated with the cooperation of many countries. Apart from that, some issues such as global warming, a deterioration in air quality definitely spread worldwide equally since it is almost impossible to keep them in a specific place and multinational actions can be the right choice to alleviate these problems in a short period of time.
On the other hand, some problems may belong to only one country as they can be attributed to a particular nation’s wrong actions. Take – the deforestation, urbanization and the water shortage – as an example. All aforementioned concerns solely stem from one’s act and they are not tied to the entire world. To cope with these issues, a county could create a stringent set of regulations to take care of nature or make some punishments – heavy fines to discourage residents from polluting their own areas, or take control of industries, which are causing environmental difficulties. This means, even without the involvement of global companies, it is feasible to address them to some extent.
Taking all these reasons into consideration, I believe that whether solving these problems should be the responsibility of international organizations or per government all depends on the nature of the issues. If they are extremely serious and require much effort, it needs to include a wider cycle of help, or if it is just a small one, resulting in one’s faults, it can be done by creating restrictions to prevent them in a country. However, the collaboration of both national and international associations can be the strongest way.
In conclusion, I maintain that if the problem is really hazardous, it ought to be the accountability of all countries, and just a small-circled issue can be tackled by the tries of a country; but teamwork helps to eliminate all troubles efficiently.
