Nowadays, in schools, some people think that estimating teamwork and problem-solving skills for children will be more helpful in their adulthood life rather than teaching them traditional academics in their adulthood life. Children who lack these skills might make major mistakes in the future. That’s why learning these skills when they are young is essential for their education. This essay will argue that life skills should be prioritized in schools rather than traditional academics.
The traditional education system helps kids improve their test skills and memorization to succeed academically. However, they are getting better grades in their exams, and children start to work like robots. For instance, kids in school start to memorize the question type to do that question quickly to plan their test time efficiently. The main issue in this situation is that kids are not practicing to understand the question; they are most likely to act like robots, and without understanding, they try to solve the problem of the question.
School must provide education to children to think logically and precisely to integrate skills of problem solving and working in teams. These two important skills will be crucial in their adult life. In every aspect of their life, they have to understand and always think about solving that problem, not memorize the situation and act in that way. Working in teams helps them to increase their communication skills, which will provide a better understanding of pupils’ problems.
All in all, traditional education systems that schools provide are not essential to be successful in the adult life but, learning skills that will increase the way we communicate or understanding the problem and take steps to solve that problem is highly important skills to be successful in terms of life.
