Students are the future of the country, so how to educate students is an issue of concern to many authorities. Currently, there are two perspectives on this matter. Some proponents argue that students should be exposed to a wide range of subjects to have broad knowledge, while others contend that students should study fewer subjects and learn more about them.
On the one hand, broad knowledge and understanding will help students form many skills and explore a diverse world. Literature enhances their proficiency in language expression and utilization. while Mathematics fosters logical reasoning skills, and talents for subjects such as singing, drawing, dancing… help students find their talents. In addition, it also helps students have a broad and diverse perspective. And the argument I think is the most important is that learning many things will help children have the opportunity to find jobs in the future more easily. Because I think many students have difficulty choosing a career, so learning many things will increase their chances of finding one.
On the other hand, others support the second viewpoint for the following reasons. The first reason is that students focusing on specialized subjects is a good direction for the future, instead of studying other subjects unrelated to the major. Besides, learning many subjects will also make children overwhelmed and have no depth, so I’m sure they will not be very interested.
In conclusion, I am inclined to support the second proposition. about learning subjects more deeply.
