Environment issues are becoming increasingly serious and getting worse day by day. People have different opinions on who should be responsible for addressing this problem. This essay is going to discuss both viewpoints and my perspective on this controversial issue.
On the one hand, individuals can take small steps to help protect the environment around them. They can consume less and more friendly products. For example, people can make a decision to reduce air pollution such as walking or cycling instead of taking a car or other vehicles that cause smoke. Additionally, they have to sort out their waste for recycling purposes. By modifying them properly, collectors can easily collect and transport them to recycling centers in order to recycle. Due to the acts of responsible people, the environment is estimated to be cleaned.
On the other hand, governments can use their highest powers to create strict laws in order to prevent harmful activities to the environment such as deforestation and logging. Moreover, they can also apply heavy fines to the opposers. For instance, the government should make strict regulations for industries which produce more harmful gases that cause-effect to human health.
To sum up, it seems to me that both sides of the argument have their benefits. Personally I am inclined to believe that it needs synergy between people and government. If the environments are taken care by both sides of them properly, fewer problems could appear in society.
