Many critics believe teaching virtually is more efficient than traditional education in a school setting as it allows for freedom and flexibility. Whilst others believe, education in a classroom is more beneficial as students will be equal as well as increased concentration
Online schooling, whilst having some downfalls has many benefits. Teaching online allows students to have later start times. Many struggle to wake up on time for school, but with education being available online this solves the issue as online schooling grants them the access of education from the comfort of their homes. Additionally, education being accessible no matter where you are, permits for flexibility. A flexible schedule allows for extra curricular activities, travelling without missing out on crucial learning, and being able to gain life experience away from an academy.
On the other hand, traditional education can be effective. Students from lower class backgrounds may not be able to have access to a laptop or computer in their homes. For this reason, commuting to an educational institution for all students is logical. Furthermore, online education can be seen as unhealthy. Reasons for this are that children will spend long hours staring at a screen which subsequently leads to adverse effects such as headaches, strain, and fatigue. Moreover, teaching in a classroom cannot be replicated online. For example, concentration levels can be monitored in schools settings in comparison to online, which raises the question on how could online teaching be better.
To conclude, both online education and traditional classroom education have there benefits and drawbacks. Traditional classroom education in my opinion outweighs virtual education as it has more beneficial impact and allows students to be equal in a school setting.
