Since science and technology has been developed, cost of smartphone production is decreased. As a result, everyone whether rish or poor are accessible to the innovation, then it is why many parents purchase it for their children. I personally think it is a pros if those children prefer to spend their time on social media and games. Since it might distract them from school lesson and outdoor activities, leading to lack of social skill or become a dump who cannot be an knowledgeable labor in the revolving industrial.
The student especially who are in kindergarten or primary school are in risk to be manipulated by bad strangers through playing online chatting platform such as Facebook and Instagram since they do not have enough developed criticized skill or good decision making. As the case in Thailand, the girl in grade 10 recently accepted the stranger man to leave her house, then stay with him as his girlfriend. Consequently, the man harmed the girl by forcing her to do all of his housework and forced the girl to sell her property for money. The poor girl are too innocent, so she had not known how dangerous of escaping from her parents. Therefore, A longer time spend in the screen, a higher risk to be manipulated.
The most important thing for young age people is to focus on studying and socializing. While giving an attention to books and knowledge enhance individuals’ future career opportunities, social gatherings in terms of playing team sport or participation in school ice-breaking activities provide teenagers confidence. As a result, the one who have both wisdom and confidence is the person who will success in his or her life. In contrast, children who addicted to smartphone lack of these characteristics because they spend all of their time chatting with their friend or updating their life through Instagram story post instead of just striking up to their friend and communicating face to face.
In conclusion, children should learn how to manage risks from smartphones by reporting to their parents if stranger text them. They should balance their time on screen and their time spent on outdoor activities and learning.
