It is a common belief that many universities encourage their learners to build their own businesses during studying. Although there are some benefits to starting their businesses, I firmly believe the disadvantages outweigh the privilege.
On the one hand, there are some advantages to starting a business during school time for students. Firstly, they could provide their life expenses by their own hands and maybe they can pay for their own studying fees. Moreover, the learners can absorb more practical skills from adult life experiences. For example, some students have already opened a shop for selling goods and clothes while they still need to go to school, and some of them have the ability to pay their own studying fees.
However, I personally have faith that the drawbacks might be bigger than the advantages. At first, starting a business might cause students more stress and take away their freetime which is extremely dangerous to their academic life because they will get overloaded and interrupted. Besides, if the learners pay excessive attention to their businesses, they can drop out because of their business which is too risky at an age of studying. For instance, the creator of Microsoft Bill Gates started a business when he was studying at Harvard University and he is ready to drop out for his small business.
In conclusion, although this phenomenon can bring some advantages to students, I still think that there are more adverse than the profit.
