It seems that some employers prioritize social skills to educational degrees when it comes to hiring employees. Although having qualifications play an important role in job seeking process, this essay agrees that social skills are more important for employment.
To begin with, having high social skills can improve collaboration in an office. In other words, people with better social practices can easily get adapted with diverse environments including other employees. Moreover, when feeling easier to participate in a team, new joiners can be more collaborated in a project. In this case, this can lead to a better team work counted as one of the main criteria of successful results.
In addition, proper communications are the first reward of working on social skills. That is to say, the better communication skills, the better negotiations happen with costumers and co-workers. In turn, not only it has benefits while dealing with costumers, but also helps to contribute with team helping acknowledge about the professional non-theorical subjects. For instance, it is a thoughtful way to improve your skills in the area you need by asking assist from the professionals. Additionally, dealing with different consumers requires different types of attitude which is not a challenge to face with high social skills.
In conclusion, it appears that regardless of the importance of qualifications, I, personally, believe working on social skills will help to communicate and collaborate with most of the teams in a more efficient way which is a value mostly asked by companies.
