Few employees make extra efforts to compensate their workers for doing a fantastic job. This trend is beneficial for some, however, it may play a negative role for others. In this essay, the reasons responsible for this will be discussed along with possible solutions in the following paragraphs.
There are several reasons why employers give additional bonuses to their employees. First, it helps create healthy competition among workers and increases their productivity on projects. Although providing these additional incentives may result in some extra costs for the company, rewarding the best workers energizes them for their profession, leading to increased profits for the employer. For example, in South Korea, this strategy is followed by large factories and IT companies to improve work progress, enabling authorities to earn more and contribute to the country’s development.
On the other hand, there are also other ways to motivate employees. One way is by offering promotions for exceptional work, which is enticing for any employee. Additionally, providing high-quality educational opportunities for their children can also serve as a motivation, as many workers may not be able to afford it on their own. This can inspire them to do outstanding work for the company. For instance, in India, where many workers struggle to provide quality education for their children, the lack of such opportunities contributes to the growth of unemployment.
In conclusion, despite the presence of some drawbacks, I still believe that providing extra incentives is essential for enhancing work productivity.
