First of all, employers can reward their members of staff with extra money and this isn’t a problem, but before that, It’s important to invest in good work materials, equipment, good pay and improving the work environment. In addition, It’s important to have a good relationship between the employers and members staff, maybe creating a conversation channel or a weekly meeting between the parties to share ideas and mutual goals, avoiding surprises about the goals or rewards with extra money for those who make an exceptional contribution.
Subsequently, I would create a rule about the rewards of the company, with goals to achieve and what type of contribution the members of staff need to reach to get extra cash at the end of the month. Rewarding your members with extra money isn’t a bad thing and can be effective in creating a competitive environment, but rules must be created about them, to avoid surprises among the members, which could create dissatisfaction.
In my experience, having something structured about rewards is the right way. I worked at a telemarketing company for almost 2 years and this worked well there, of course not everyone will be happy at the end of the month, because even though the members know the goals, that doesn’t mean that everyone will achieve them. On the other hand, who achieved the goals and earned the extra money will be happy and will continue working hard next month.
It’s worth noting that is very important for employers to provide health support for these members, because a competitive environment can be exhausting and without a good professional support, none of this will work for a long time without falling apart.
