Band 6: Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary schools rather than secondary schools. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

It is suggested that primary school students should learn a second language within the curriculum. In my opinion, the advantages of this trend outweigh the drawbacks.

One of the benefits is that studying foreign language at an early stage will have more time to learn other subjects at secondary school. This is because they are engaged with and acquainted with a second language before, so students find it easier to learn. After that, they are likely to concentrate on some academic subjects such as science, math, and physics. This results in having varios flying colors, also helping them more confidence in education. Another advantage is that learning another language early can provide students with an important international communication tool in the future. This is because these days, communicating with foreigners has increased significantly not only in academic study but also in the economy. As a result, students can gain opportunities as well as get there in the future.

On the other hand, a minority of people believe that studying different languages has some drawbacks. Elementary school students are not mature enough to acquire the amount of knowledge. Hence, they can feel pressure and become unconfident with their peers. Consequently, this will have a negative effect on their metal issues such as stress and depression. For example, a majority of primary school students adversely affect their psychology, studies, and health because they can not suffer that.

In conclusion, the benefits of having more time to learn other subjects at secondary school and providing students with an important international communication tool in the future seem to outweigh the disadvantage of students not mature enough to acquire the necessary knowledge.
