There is a view that it is possible for a state to be successful in both economic and environmental conditions. While other people argue that the two situations are not appropriate in a country, I believe that they are related since most eco-friendly states have a good economic background.
Others contend that there are some countries which have a lot of financial power; nevertheless, they have bad environment. The best example is oil and gas countries. Those states make a great deal of money from oil; however, they make their own land dirty. Although countries earn a huge amount of profit from selling oil and gas, countries face significant environmental issues. Another view is that those two objectives do not have connection since there are several factors which have a big impact on them. The driver behind them is economics causes, such as inflation, unemployment, and interest rates. There are few states which have great environmental backgrounds, however those states suffer from financial crises. They face financial burden.
Some people, including me, believe that economically successful nations come clean surroundings. Due to huge financial background, those nations always want to spend their budget to protect environment. Also, citizens afford for their nation in order to maintain strong economic and environment.
In conclusion, countries afford both every time. In my opinion, those objectives are compatible.
