In the modern era, many people believe that technology has made communication easier, while others argue that it has destroyed personal interactions. Both opinions have value, but I think that the advantages of modern innovations outweigh the disadvantages.
One major advantage is that people can maintain relationships over long distances. For example, when COVID-19 started, everyone had to stay at home because of quarantine. Zoom, WhatsApp, and other platforms helped people communicate with family and friends who were far away. Even now, for instance, if your mother lives in Kazakhstan and you study in France, you can still communicate through these platforms. This allows you to keep your relationships with relatives and friends despite being physically apart.
Another benefit is that it helps to share information faster. If you have ideas and suggestions but you are in different time zones, platforms like Slack make it easier for all colleagues to work together and exchange important information.
However, there are also disadvantages. People may meet less often in person, which can weaken emotional connections with relatives and friends. There is also the risk of having communication without real passion — for example, when we sit at a table and do not talk, but only look at our phones. I do not think this helps to improve relationships between us.
In conclusion, technology has undeniably made communication easier and more efficient, but it is essential to balance online and offline interactions. While digital tools are invaluable in modern life, we should always remember that face-to-face meetings are important and not get lost in the electronic world.
