In the contemporary era, a large number of adverts are operated by well-known conglomerates to attract customers to purchase their products. In this case, some people hold the view that companies apply immoral strategies in their advertisements in order to earn revenue. From my perspective, I totally agree with this trend and I will present my point of view throughout this essay.
To begin with, the world that we live in today is dominated by advertising. However, people use some illegal methods in advertising to launch their products in the community. One of the compelling examples is online advertisements which post unreal photos of products on social media in order to grab audiences’ attention. Thus, applying that kind of strategy in adverts is unethical and illegal throughout the world. Moreover, some commercials on TV and social media are unrealistic by using good storylines. Consequently, engenders and young people are influenced by adverts showing latest toys and clothing that put enormous pressure on the parents to buy these products.
In addition, advertisements such as alcohol, vapes and smoking products are used by colorful images and animations to promote their goods. This is one of the devastating adverts that utilize illegal information to increase their sales. In some developed nations, these advertisements are banned by authorities to protect citizens and impose new laws.
In conclusion, I personally feel that unacceptable commercials are widely used by companies to garb customers’ attention. Many aspects of advertising do appear to be morally wrong and are not acceptable in today’s society.
