Many people believe that children should be recognized with a gift for their respected attitude, and others argue that children should be criticized for their negative character. I agree with both ideas because encouragement helps the children continue this behaviour, and punishment should also be mandated to release the depth of the mistakes due to negative character.
Children need to be awarded and supported by teachers and parents because it helps them continue this same behaviour in the future. This is because once a child has been awarded for doing well, they will continue the same pattern to achieve more awards. Furthermore, this will lead them to be good at their work and increase their performance. This means that they will become competitive people who are seeking to be respected in their work and community. For instance, if a parent purchases a gift because of his or her high mark In school, they will motivate their children to work harder and get high marks throughout their lives.
While punishment should be necessary for children who possess a negative character or nature because it will aid in self-realization, this is because of the belief that experiencing penalty teaches them responsibility and discipline. This means that correction can guide them towards better behaviour in the future. For example, if a child repeatedly does not complete their homework , given extra chores, this teaches the children regarding the importance of responsibility and diligence.
In conclusion, many believe that encouragement and punishment should be necessary for positive and negative behaviour. In my perspective, it is awarded for a respected attitude that enhances the child’s confidence level and continues this nature in the future. Besides, penalty will also be able to realize the depth of the negative character.
