In contemporary society, there is an ongoing debate regarding whether it is pointless to fund on wildlife conservation, largely due to numerous challenges that need solutions. I totally disagre with this perpective because of the following reasons: firstly, forest reduce water pollution and attract rain which is suitable for agricuture. Secondly, wild animal conservation is a source of revenue through tourism.
Primarily, the strongest argument in favor of this view is that forests will significantly cut down climate change in our region. Having densely populated forest through plantation literally attract rainfalls throughout which enhances agriculture production. For instance, Mount Kenya region in Kenya contributed 50% of the GDP in the country, mainly as a result of both food and cash farming in that as they encounter favourable climate and fertile soil. This was achieved by planting many trees and conservation of the environment in the county through the support from local government.
A second, equally important reason is that game park and reserve are one of the major sources of revenue to most nations. This is mainly because many tourists often like visiting countries with game parks and spend money to observe different wild species. As a result, government generate revenue through tourism and create job opportunities. A good illustration of this would be Kenyan tourism sector. More than three thousand people got employment in this industry thus boosted major developments in the country.
In a nutshell, I am convinced that wild animals and plants protection is imprative since it has many benefits to not only boosting our economy but also reduce global warming at large. Therefore, it is important we spend money and resources on preservation of our environment.
