In today’s world, it is very common for organisations to spend an extensive amount on the protection of wildlife. However, critics argue that this finance could have been used more effectively in other issues.
In my opinion, investing money on the protection of wildlife is really important due to the impact on the enviroment. For example, due to the lack of trees, we are constantly battling environmental issues like global warming which does impact humans directly. This leads to a surge in room temperatures slowly making the earth uninhabitable for both humans and animals. Nevertheless, humans can still survive the heat through the new technologies like Air Conditioning but this leads to the extinction of animals. Certain small animals and even insects are being affected by this which will impact the population of species like chickens in the long run affecting out food supply.
However, people do argue that with the finace, people or firms could solve other issues which could be an integral part of their goals. For example, a business may choose to increase production to benefit from economies of scale and lower thei costs of productions. To achieve the goal of reducing costs they may emmit more greenhouse gases in the environment. This directly negatively impact the environment.
In conclusion, I feel its important for firms and individuals to strike a balance between protecting the environment and achieving personal goals. It is fundamentally impossible for anyone to focus solely on protecting the environment. Hence, people and firms can focus on acheiving their objectives without hindering the wildlife and the environment.
