Some people claim that music acts only as entertainment for the individual, whereas other people argue it has an important place in society. I believe that music plays both a vital role for individuals and for society as a whole.
On one hand, there are those who claim that music is important only to society as a whole. They say that music and song can be used to unite people with national anthems and cultural music. There are many sporting and cultural events at which attendees sing songs and join together in music. There are also local and national music competitions which celebrate music culture.
However, other people argue that music is only for an individual’s entertainment. These people claim that music is used simply for pleasure, such as dancing, singing or relaxation. I know many people who use music as a way to wind down, or to energise themselves when they are feeling low.
In my view, music is a critical tool for both society and for an individual. I can see how useful music is to join people together, as I love to sing my national anthem at large events. I also cannot deny how useful music is for people when they need something to help them relax or feel better. I love to go to karaoke with my friends to have a good time.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that music plays an important role for both the individual and for society. It can help people come together, and is a tool to help people relax, have fun and relieve stress.
