Some believe that the main role of natural resources such as forests and rivers, is facilitating human cultivation and economic growth by providing people with material to build and create. Others argue that it is necessary to protect ecosystems and its wildlife, for example animals and plants, even though it limits human activities. I personally believe that preserving our natural environment is way more vital than destroying it in order to support human activities.
On the one hand, some believe that natural world mainly supports human activities. Natural resources are the main source of materials which are essential for human and economic development. For example, forests that are crowded with trees are the main source of wood. Humans then build tables, beds, chairs out of it and also make firewood to heat up houses. This kind of process boosts economic growth . Selling the products made by wood can be a very successful business that supports human needs. I disagree with this because it supports harmful activities to our environment that have a threatening and impulsive effect on wildlife. It also supports that natural resources are only important in human development, which is wrong.
On the other hand, others believe that protecting the natural world is a necessity and way more important than the human activities or progress. Preserving the ecosystem is imperative since many wildlife creatures have lost their habitats because of human activities. Furthermore, natural resources are very precious and need to be consumed in a moderated amount because the overconsumption leads to losing these vital resources. For example, humans pollute rivers by using them for amusement and sometimes they consume all water . For example, building a factory next to a river then using it as the only source of water to all workers and washing the machines ends up causing drought in the area which is dramatically dangerous since all living creatures depend on water to live. That’s why protesting forests, rivers and even animals is the responsibility of all individuals. I agree because our environment should be protected even if it restricts human progress and its precious resources should be safe.
In conclusion, although some people believe that human and economic growth is more important, I disagree because this causes a serious threat to ecosystems and wildlife. I believe that it is our responsibility to keep it safe and consume its valuable natural resources wisely.
