Many individuals suppose that arrest is the best approach to plummet crimes, while opponents claim that education is more practical. These aspects are discussed in this essay, and from my perspective, both provide as positive as negative impacts on society.
On the one hand, prison is a good option as a penalty for people who made crimes, since the loss of liberty may be the most dreadful punishment in their lives. If individuals are aware of the prisons’ routine, the number of scammers and murderers will decrease because there are strict rules that they have to follow. Moreover, the imprisoned people are restricted in visiting their families and friends; consequently, before committing the crimes, they consider their children and parents conditions.
On the other hand, all people should be allowed to have an opportunity to take a chance in changing their future lives. The educational programs could be a key tool in amending their lives, as after leaving a prison, people believe that their lives are senseless. In addition, there are a number of individuals who did not expected significant consequences; therefore, the arrest may be dishonest penalty for them, if they did not have unfavourable intentions. The frequent reason of occurrence of assassins is their child or inherited traumas; subsequently, the teaching programs may direct their horizons into the proper trend, without disappointing their close relatives.
In conclusion, despite guilty is sharply punished by a prison penalty and its restrictions, this will not beneficially influence society. Instead of this, the people’s lives may be not destroyed, if special occasions where they will be instilled to reside peacefully. In my opinion, the penalty should be hinged on the seriousness of the crimes.
