While a group of people has agreed that culture comes from person’s nationality and another group has believed that it is something learnable from different ways, I have not strongly agreed with none of them. What I believe is that the role of one’s origin country in one’s culture depends on that country’s culture.
Some people are of the opinion that nationality forms a a person’s culture. They have presumed that the effect of environment or parent’s manners, which comes from their environment too, have formed a person’s culture. It is sensible, because the foundation of a person’s personality and culture is laid in childhood, as well as the whole world of a child is the environment where he lived. But the reality is that it does not cover all factors.
On the other hand, another group of people has believed that the role of an origin country in someone’s culture is minor. Per their opinion, culture is something attainable through education. they claim that for every field, a special culture has to be taught. In particular, driving, cooking, events and national ceremonies.
It is evident to me that none of these ideas is not completely true. I think part of culture comes from nationality and part of it is learnable, while its share depends on the country and its culture’s power. Let’s take India by way of example. Although many Indians have immigrated around the world for years, their culture comes mostly from their mother country and has not changed. I think it is because of their country’s strong culture.
In conclusion, we cannot deny the important role of nationality in a person’s culture; however, it is attainable from different channels such as the society where a person grew up, schools, and communications.
