Toddlers, naive observers, always have curiosity towards everything that they are seeing and listening to in each step of their life. A number of people believe that elders need to allow young ones to make mistakes; then, only they can learn from their downs. However, others believe that it is the responsibility of adults to protect toddlers from making mistakes. This essay discusses both points of view and comes to a conclusion.
On the one hand, older ones need to give children space to get into trouble, which helps them to understand not only about the competitive world but also how to tackle obstacles. In addition, it helps to create problem-solving skills in children. For example, when children do indoor and outdoor activities such as puzzle solving and outdoor games, if a problem arises in between these games, then they are able to resolve the dilemma by generating a solution. Therefore, children have the confidence to face problems.
The other side of the argument is that adults have to protect children from making mistakes. Even though children get the capability to resolve their issues by themselves, it is older people’s responsibility to protect their children from making trouble. If toddlers make trouble, then it brings anxiety to them. Moreover, that may lead to trauma. For instance, some adults have trauma or even guilt regarding some dilemmas that they had experienced in their childhood. Hence, it is considered the responsibility of caretakers or parents to protect their children from mistakes.
Having an in-depth analysis of this matter, it can be concluded that children need a helping hand from the elder ones, although they are able to handle their problems by themselves.
