With the ever increasing technological advances, the medical industry has also rocketed up.The more medicines are made the more animals are being experimented. The topic of experimentation on animals has been controversial for a long time. Some agree and some don’t. Personally, I am both optimistic and pessimistic about it.
New medical or important scientific discoveries and made every day and animals are being tested every day.If we do not tested on the animals there can be adverse effect on our human beings. If we do not test it on them we cannot know how a particular vaccine would effect the disease. If we do not see the symptoms we cannot discover the cure for a certain disease. Even though testing out experiments on the animals does not sound very convincing, there is no other way to test it.I know it sounds very cruel and there should be some limitation on them.
We are prone to this activity since we were young. We saw a lot of cartoons and movies about how experimental animals get mutated. We have seen scientists and doctors doing several experiments on the animals.Another alternative is to experiment it directly on the virus that causing the disease. We do not need to make an animal infected and then test it with the vaccine. It might be more challenging but this might be the future of testing the experiments.
In our modern society, I have no doubt that we can find alternative ways of testing our experiments without breaking a sweat.Test the animals can decline their population and therefore can be some mutations in those animals over the years and conversely that mutation can also have negative effects on our health. We can limit the amount of animals that are being tested by applying some strict laws to it.These animals also apart of our mother nature and we should conserve them so that we can have a well rounded society.
In conclusion, although this topic is very controversial, there is always advantages and disadvantages to everything. In mu opinion,as long as these experimental animals are kept with a well rounded facilities and treated as they deserve, it is completely fine to do some experiments just not excessively.
