Band 6+: Some people believe that children should start school at a very early age, but others think they should not go to school until they are older Discuss both views and give your answer.

Perfect age to send a child to school has been controversial among people. Some assume that it is better to engage them in schools at a very early age, while others share the view that the reverse is true. Although I acknowledge merits of the former view, I firmly believe that it is far more effective to send children for acquiring knowledge only if they are physically, mentally and emotionally prepared.

On the one hand, there are two major reasons that showcase why involving children into studying at school in their early years is highly constructive. First and foremost, this tendency is believed to accelerate the language learning process as well as improve their linguistic abilities. This helps them to communicate fluently in their native language and learn how to write and read earlier, which is dilemma for many schoolchildren in the beginning of their school journey. By reinforcing these skills, children can also enhance other skills such as problem-solving, critical-thinking faster compared to their peers. Furthermore, early exposure to formal education motivates children to study intensively, enabling them to overcome problems like falling behind or irresponsibility toward their studies. More specifically, they try to stay competitive with their classmates and as a result, maximize their performance during classes.

On the other hand, I am still in favor of sending children at school when they are ready. When schoolchildren are not willing to handle their studies and cannot deal with them, it is pointless to force them. For instance, a child who is four years old is not able to manage all fourteen subjects, for they still need time to adapt the strict school enforcement. Unless they are old enough to grasp the academic terms, children can lag behind from and lose interest in studying, leading to long-term worse impacts on their performance. Additionally, when child gets old, they develop emotional readiness, which is very integral during learning process. Emotionally mature students are capable of overcoming difficulties during class such as peer interaction or presenting their perception among twenty or more students, which necessarily requires to be emotionally intelligent.

In conclusion, even though I admit that sending students to school in their earlier ages is reasonable, for they can develop early language exposure and literacy, the latter proposal still holds more weight, as it emphasizes the importance of emotional readiness and the ability to absorb complex skills.
