It is aruged that extracurricular activities such as music, dance arts lessons for children should be funded by government whereas others believe it is the responsibility of private businesesses or children’s families. In my opinion, the above aids should be provided by government.
One side of the discussion, due to the significant rise in people’s interest towards arts, government should contribute in learning of arts and cultural subjects such as dance, music and painting. For an instance, accesibility to music rooms with latest equipment to musical instruments such as guitar, veena. Including dance, painting or drawing sessions periodically in schools curriculum. This exposes children to various fields helping in the discovery of their personal interests which leads to more productivity and hunger to learn new things.
On the other hand of the discussion, A study conducted in India on 20 students by sending them to different extracurricular activities once a week. Only 5 out of 20 students were thrilled to attend the classes whereas remaining treated as a break from their continues sessions. Therefore, all the students in same class might not be interested in attending art and cultural trainings. This can further lead to wastage of government funds, so it is better if children’s families provide the money or private agencies can contribute in their music career.
In conclusion, I beileve government should provide all the facilities of learning arts and music, whereas the futher career choices should be pursued intentionally.
